Tigers are known for the capacity of their flexible, powerful spine to pounce prey and to carry twice their own body weight. At the lower back the Ming Men meridian point "Life Gate" (Gate of Vitality) (Mysterious Gate) / DU4(GV 4), located below the spinous process of the second lumbar vertebra, is developed, in this training, to mimic the tiger's explosive prowess. Clears heat; Regulates the Governing vessel; Tonifies the Kidneys; Benefits the lumbar spine. Spleen Chakra, 

 Sound is low, bass "growl". Palms are shaped as fully tensed, flexed open hand tiger palms.
