Meteor Fist System Eagle Claw - Liu Hsing Chuan Ying Chien

This is the forefather Eagle form ever created and its spirit and beauty was considered to be so matchless that it nurtured the soul and the heart.  Of all Shaolin forms; so inspirational was this form, so poetic and poignant its imagery, that the monks could not bring themselves to hide it from public view.

Internal form the 4th internal style, highest of the Internal Systems (Tai Chi, Pakua, Hsing-I) from Shaolin Wu Tang temple, rarely taught or demonstrated. In the ancient world only those who had attained mastery of Tien Shieh Kung (Tien Hsieh) "Death Touch" & therefore Iron Palm, Arm & Shin training could even be considered as candidate to learn Liu Hsing. Most Liu Hsing masters were 70 - 90 years old

Even faster than the Golden Leopard style, in Liu Hsing Ch'uan devastating explosiveness is added as the chi is integrated with intense muscular power generated by fa jing (Hua jing) learned from mastery of  Snake (Python) Pakua Chuan (Baguaquan).

Because of the difficulty in transmitting chi through tense muscles, the training acquired in the practice of Tai Chi Chuan (Taijiquan), Pa Kua Chuan (Baguazhang), and Hsing-I Chuan (Xingyiquan) is prerequisite for Liu Hsing Chuan (Liuxingquan)

In Liu Hsing, control and development of circulation of  chi circulation continuously through the body is accomplished by the Grand Circulation of Heaven (Macro-cosmic Orbit), via breathing and meditation  practices learned in  the Tien Shen Chi training of  Hua Tuo' Five Animal Training Chi Kung (Qigong) (5 Animal Frolic).

Ultimately, the practitioner seeks to have all movement directed in pin point mode at vital "death-touch" pressure points (Tien Hsueh); and guided through the subconscious. The mind as a separate entity is removed from the equation as all movement is achieved by the subconscious direction of chi by an integrated mind- body-spirit. Before the conscious mind can even recognize the existence of an opening in a fight, the practitioner will have already directed and delivered the attack using Shen Tien Chi energy.  This is the awesome goal and core objective of Liu Hsing"

The metaphor for the first part of Lui Hsing Hurling Rock Fist and Leg is the “said” and the “unsaid”. Metaphor for the second part is “One Branch of  Mei Flower” or more fully translated “Dragon Twirl Mei Flower”; and further elucidated as  (Monsoon Wind Twirling Thousands of Flower Blossoms into sky transform into soaring Eagles = Yue Fei an his Generals) (on the Ground transforms into Snakes coming out of ground after earthquake = soldiers & horses)

……………………..

He clasps the crag with crooked hands;
Close to the sun in lonely lands,
Ringed with the azure world, he stands.

The wrinkled sea beneath him crawls;
He watches from his mountain walls,
And like a thunderbolt he falls.

Golden Eagles are more closely related to hawks, like the Red-tailed , than to Bald Eagles which are more closely related to kites.

Golden eagles are found throughout the Northern Hemisphere, in rugged and remote land where abundant prey still exists. Known to the Plains Indian tribes as the war eagle and to the Asian people as the berkut or khalzan, golden eagles have always been regarded as symbols of strength and freedom. In central Asia, the Berkutchi is a falconer who hunts with the golden eagle. The Berkutchi is a respected person, capable of training and using the eagle safely and correctly.

Among many Kazakh traditions is the ancient art of hunting with trained birds of prey. The tradition is believed to originate in Central Asia some 6000 years ago and later on be adopted in Europe and other countries.

In the far west of Mongolia, the Kazakh minority group to this day still practice the ancient tradition of hunting with eagles. This tradition is part of their culture and way of life. Kazakhs of Bayan Ulgii province which now boasts more than 200 members of the Berkut Association. Most of whom live in Tsats uul, Deluun, Tsengel and Bayannuur localities.

 Among the ancient Asian peoples, learning to train birds of prey started in childhood. Young falconers were started with the sparrow hawk, later came the goshawk, saker, peregrine and gyrfalcon. The last bird trained, considered the most significant and capable of taking the greatest range of game, was the golden eagle. It was also the most dangerous raptor to train. Even the most experienced Berkutchi saw the training of this bird as difficult and perilous. Golden eagles were sometimes trained to take wolves, but this was rare and wolf eagles had a high mortality rate. Despite the danger of hunting wolves, golden eagles were up to the task. On the hunt, the golden eagle is absolutely fearless and nearly invincible. Huge talons and a bone-crushing grip make short work of most prey

 Liu Hsing trains in explosive power by using resistance exercises. In more recent times, part of the training involves kicking and punching against the resistance of a stretched band made of thick rubber.

Ultimately, the practitioner seeks to have all movement directed in pin point mode at vital "death-touch" pressure points (Tien Hsueh); and guided through the subconscious .
